St Canice’s Primary is a welcoming Catholic community, where we seek to share our faith and help every child develop a keen love for God, themselves, others, and their world.
Our Catholic faith is celebrated as part of our everyday school life, with a rich variety of prayer opportunities from whole-school to class. Students from Kindergarten to Year 6 attend the parish Masses at least twice each term and parents are invited to participate. We recognise and mark special feast days with a whole-school Mass, and we work in partnership with our parish on our Sacramental Program that is supported by the Religious Education program that is a core Key Learning Area. LEARN MOREWe instil in our students a sense of social justice, encouraging them to reach out to others in their local and global community. Stage 3 students have been involved in supporting social justice within the school, through an active Mini Vinnies which supported our local chapter. We actively seek involvement in school, parish and wider community social justice initiatives such as student visits to nursing homes, Caritas fundraising appeals, the St Vincent de Paul's Winter Sleepout and Catholic Mission 'Socktober' Appeal.
