Student Wellbeing

St Canice’s is a student-focused school and all of our students are treated with dignity and respect.

Our wellbeing program recognises for each student their material, emotional, spiritual and educational needs. Initiatives focused on student wellbeing include:

  • a school counsellor, supporting the wellbeing of our community and providing expert wellbeing-related advice
  • providing all Kindergarten and Year 1 students with a Year 5 or Year 6 buddy
  • support for parents where school attendance becomes difficult.

St Canice’s Primary is committed to keeping our students safe at school and we adhere to the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards and support the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. A range of checks and undertakings are required for people who work for or provide services to the school. These checks reduce potential risk and form part of the Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) strategy to build child safe communities. LEARN MORE
