Alice and students outside the church
The school celebrated the Feast Day of Mary Aikenhead, the Sister who founded the Sisters of Charity.
The children were asked to wear colonial dress. The children had lessons in their classroom just as they did in 1830's. After recess the children experienced a flag raising ceremony with the Union Jack and the singing of the national anthem God Save our Queen. This was followed by a period of marching which is good for the body and soul.

While our dedicated year 3's were focussing on Naplan, Year 4 continued work on writing different rhythms using the notes they were reading on the clef (Treble, Alto, Bass) specific to their instrument during their strings lesson, this week. Their musical knowledge is improving greatly. #LoveLiveLearn #StCanicesPrimary #stcanicesprimaryschool #cspdparramatta #captivatestringsprogram #strings #stcanicesmusic #MusicEducation #Year4Strings #stcaniceskatoombamusic
